Custom Software |
 |
The new software section sports information about the
new service, as well as new software anyone may use.
One such program of course, is my flagship product
mentioned last month, Roosl's Mail Filter. A new version
of that is now available, which includes support for
wildcard domain blocking.
I've also introduced several new entries. These are
handy tools and toys I not only had fun developing, but
they're fun to use, and are free for anyone to download.
There are functional tools, such as my System Monitor,
which displays many things about your PCs resources,
memory and disk usage, and a useful search utility.
Then there are the fun desktop toys, such as a nifty
calendar and a binary clock. Details and screen shots of
each are displayed for your curious perusal.
There will be more to come, and I hope you'll think of
that program or tool you always wish you had, and ask
me to write it for you!

Contest? |

Last Issue's contest: Who designed the sets and
creature in the movie "Alien"? Answer: H.R. Giger
Here is this issue's contest: In the cycling (lower)
frame at Roosl's Graphic Design, an image appears along
with the "last update" and "copyright". What is the
origin of that image?
The first person who e-mails the correct answer wins a
free license for the full version of Roosl's Mail Filter! I
will announce the winner in the next newsletter (unless
you wish to remain anonymous)!

No Links? |
 |
|
Are you reading this with the new AOL 9.0 or Outlook
2003? Do you see images (pictures)? Are you able to
follow the links from this message to the pages I
mention (often a picture is a clickable link)? If not, your
new mail program may well have disabled them!
By default, the new AOL 9.0 and Outlook 2003 disable
image and hypertext links in your email. You can fix
this by checking your settings and enabling them. I
believe you may also specify certain senders from
whom email will have these settings enabled, if you
choose not to enable them in all messages.
Speaking of links, remember there are quick links to
topics mentioned, as well as others, at the end of this
newsletter.
Have you visited Roosl's lately? Are you an occasional
visitor, only clicking on links in this newsletter? There is
a lot more to see, ya know!

Kudos to God |
 |

As always, make a time and space for God...
The God of all seasons, of ebbing and flowing, of
planting and harvesting, of days and nights, of warmth
and cold, of future years and fading years. He reminds
me to keep from wasting today worrying about
yesterday. To keep me from wasting today wanting and
worrying about tomorrow.
Forever grateful to God for His given blessings, I can't
say enough about what His presence and meaning are
to me in my daily life...
May He keep you safe and your spirit close in the
coming new year!
Remember to "Work like you don't need the money"...
and "Dance like nobody's watching"
