Happy New Year! The Next Stage
January 2 2006

Well, Roosl,

Can you believe 2005 is passed?

I hope you and yours had a good year, and a wonderful year-end Holiday season.

I thought I'd grab some of this long weekend to wish you a happy and successful 2006!

As I was the last time I wrote, I've been very busy at the day gig, and have some news regarding same.

The Christmas season here was really nice. Relaxing anyway, as it should be. We caught a few favorite movies on the tube, and enjoyed sunny days and temps in the 70s.

I'm looking forward to another wonderful year in 2006, as I hope you are.

    looking back...

...don't you feel small? it happens to us all...

2006 is the tenth anniversary of Roosl's Graphic Design on the web!

It's somewhat hard to believe that it was ten years ago this year I first began the project that has evolved all this stuff.

It's fun and even embarrassing to think of the early web site, replete with overkill image maps and frames that took forever to load! To think that we all had 28k dialup then and thought it was fast.

There wasn't much out here on the 'Net in 1996.

To think of all that has happened in that time...The distance Voyager travelled by 1996, and since then...

Plastic Railroad links The Next Stage

What does that mean? Plastic. Railroad. The Next Stage...

One of my favorite IT gigs was from 1996 to 2000 working at Union Pacific Technologies, a division of the railroad. Another great gig was a time spent at MasterCard International. Plastic. Railroad. Links to the past and present.

I have been blessed with a great full time gig with Wells Fargo and Company. Wells Fargo's history includes ties with both Union Pacific Railroad and MasterCard.

Wells Fargo gained nationally with the completion of the transcontinental railroad, and the early "Master Charge" card was a product of California Banks governed by Wells Fargo.

Pretty cool, huh? Now if I also had happened to work for the Pony Express, that would just be weird.

    Dusting the Gallery

I really do have plans for some new artwork very soon! I guess I just need to sit down some of these coming quiet weekends and make some progress, eh?

Well, here is a resolution I can keep. I resolve to devote more time to this project in the new year! So, by the next issue, I will have added one or two new images to the 3D gallery!

    Keep in Touch!

Drop me a note and let me know what's new with you in 2006!

    Time and Space

    God,

Thank You for the adventure of this life!

Thank You for the friends, old and new with whom I have been able to share this adventure, and family near and far!

Thank You for your guidance, and the opportunities that guidance has provided.

Forever grateful to God for His given blessings, I'll never say enough about what His presence and meaning are to me in my life...

See you soon! Be careful out there!
    -Roosl

    Eye see you
