  • Greetings!

The last of this year's cicadas sing in the trees. The colors begin changing as our spaceship Earth takes that left turn at autumn, toward spring for our friends "down under". Ah, the crisp, cool air! The best of the seasons for all of us, eh mate?

This month's issue is rather short. I've got quite a bit of things going on, but September has been a slow one for new stuff and news here, and I suppose I could mark this issue up to a temporary case of writer's block.

    Developments

Okay, so having done robotic spiders, half-human cyborgs, insects and plants, I've yet to do imagery that includes people. I have finally begun working on a project to create 3D models of the human form to use in future imagery.

I had hoped to have some new work with humans ready for this issue. But alas, I'm not ready! One model I am developing includes individual eyelashes, realistic eyes and other such detail! Hence, a carpal tunnel inducing, time consuming work that I hope to have ready soon.

Toward that end, new projects underway also include detailed living spaces. So, watch for future updates to include some folks in various settings!

Of course, there is still some new stuff. I hope you enjoy it!

    My two cents
It's funny (or not) that recently, all the buzz is about spam and identity theft. I've been buzzing about these for awhile, and I've noticed that Consumer Reports and many recent articles and columns in the business section of the newspaper have really been buzzing as well!

It's funny (or not) that identity theft can also easily occur with something as simple as an e-mail address. As I've written before, spoofing is not only a means for spammers to hide their identity, but also a means to send false information where the recipient is lead to believe the sender is someone else. This too, is ID theft! You can only imagine the possible outcome of this kind of activity when the intent is malicious.

Back to the simply annoying spam issue, I've got some new tools to play with, such as a pre-download filter. Now, most of this garbage is quietly deleted from my mail server before I even start my mail client. I've posted this info and more, including my list of blocked senders to share with everyone!

This section is where I put my two cents, and I welcome and appreciate your opinions and feedback. Please don't hesitate to let me know what you think, whether it's about this newsletter, the website, or anything else!

    3-D Gallery News
The gallery is now divided into "rooms". As I update images, and add new works, I thought that having everything in no category was becoming a bit awkward. So, for now, I've moved the art to arrange these rooms, and of course, added some new stuff for you to enjoy!

The Realism/Nature/Architecture Room - This room presents images of scenes or objects such as we might see in the real world. There are also those which don't or can't actually exist, but appear natural or realistic. For example, this month's new images include flowering plants of my own creation, featuring an orchid which I'm certain you'll like!

The Dream/Spatial/Scientific Room - This room presents images of scenes or objects which may be of dreams, and studies in geometry and spatial relationship, or those sci-tech inventions of my imagination, such as "Gravitation" and "Sphere Play".

The Sci-Fi/Fantasy Room - This room presents images of scenes or objects of fantasy and the science fiction genre.

    Contest
Last month's contest: My animated mandala is three nested spherical groups, each spinning in a different direction. Name the three terms for these directional movements. Answer: Roll, Pitch and Yaw.

The winner is "Doc" of Florida, USA. Nice going, Doc!

Here is this month's contest! Name the artist who penned the poem which appears at the bottom of my "About" page.

The first person who e-mails me with the correct answer wins a free logo design! I will announce the winner in the next newsletter (unless you wish to remain anonymous)!

    Kudos to God
As always, make a time and space for God...

Forever grateful to God for His given blessings, I can't say enough about what His presence and meaning are to me in my daily life...

Like your friend or co-worker, who didn't really send you that virus, blasphemous or pornographic message, life's trials and "bad days" are not sent by God. Also give God the Benefit of a doubt.

Remember to "Work like you don't need the money"... and "Dance like nobody's watching"
